This Japanese made long-reach glow plug has been developed exclusively for all Thunder Tiger's as well as other manufacturer's 4-stroke engines. The Redline RF will provide your 4-stroke engine with great performance in its full range of operation, from stable idling to smooth acceleration.
If your engine idle becomes unstable after changing the nitro percentage of your fuel, try the Redline R3. The Japanese made R3 is especially designed for airplane and helicopter engines. It provides great performance in the entire operational range, from stable idling to smooth acceleration. The R3 is a medium length, idle bar-less glow plug featuring a platinum alloy filament. This glow plug has been widely accepted by serious aircraft and helicopter modelers. If you are accustomed to glow plugs such as the O.S.#8 and the Enya#3, you will like the Redline R3.
If you remove the glow starter from your idling engine and notice an immediate drop in PRM, you may need either a hotter glow plug or need a higher nitro percentage fuel. The Japanese made Redline R1 is developed for high-speed low-nitro boat,airplane, and helicopter engines. Why not to try Redline R1 glow plug first before going to use a higher nitro percentage fuel? Due to its long-reach thread design (7/32" / 5.55mm), we do not suggest using the R1 in small-size enignes(.15 or less).
Redline R2 Plus is a stander equipment glow plug that is special designed for the PRO-18 engine installed on the Thunder Tiger RTR car. Compare with the R2 plug, R2 Plus is a colder type plug that will perform well for the "hot" engine.
The Japanese made Redline R5 is special designed for the engine operating under high temperature environment and marked as "cold" version. If you like to run your engine with high nitro content fuel(up 25% nitro) or with high RPM output. Absoulatly, the Redline R5 is the best choose to match your extreme requirement.
The new REDLINE SMOOTHY PIPE(#9725) is special designed to fit with the Thunder Tiger RL-53H helicopter engine. Features enlarged exhaust volume, with smooth airflow to help the engine generate extreme power output and high torque at high RPM. Steady backpressure flow design to make the engine run smoothly under different RPM conditions. Fit with RL-53H engine,#9725 SMOOTHY PIPE will perform with linear response to throttle inputs while providing high power output. Smoothy pipe will be suitable for the F3C pilot.
The new REDLINE HI-FLOW 3D PIPE(#9722) is special designed to fit with the Thunder Tiger RL-53H helicopter engine. Features enlarged exhaust volume, with smooth airflow to help the engine generate extreme power output and high torque at high RPM. Steady backpressure flow design to make the engine run smoothly under different RPM conditions. Fit with RL-53H engine, #9722 HI-FLOW 3D pipe will perform specifically at high RPM/high torque output while under the most demanding flight routines. It will be the best choice for the 3D extreme pilot.
Requires: 8mm wrench or 4 way wrench After running for a while, the element might become dark brown. It is carbon around the surface of the glow plug element and may cause the engine hard to start and running rough. Replace or try another colder or hotter type glowplug as necessary. The following symptoms may be caused by improper choosing of glow plug type. Too cold: Poor throttle response at bottom end, unsustainable idle, and a slow engine acceleration and the engine gets too cool at idle. Too hot: After running the engine at the highest speed for a while, engine hesitates to slow down to a stable idle when abruptly close the throttle to the lowest, the glow plug is burnt very easy and engine temperatures is high.
