warranty return
Question:
Gentlemen,
Please review the photos attached,These photos are of a Returned Motor which has been returned to a very unsatisfied customer.
The motor from new ran less than 6oz of fuel through it when the bottom bearing let go. It was returned to Ace Hobby Repaired?? and returned, the repair order #002896.
Upon receipt back at the customer the motor would ONLY turn half a turn and lock up.
The back plate was removed and the piston was seen to have been replaced Half a turn out ( the piston was hitting the crankshaft, the cut out being in the wrong position).
The head and liner were pulled to enable the correction when as can be seen from the photos the following was found.
002 clearly shows the piston scoring and complete wearing through of the chrome bore on the liner. the missing plastic button on the end of the wrist pin on the piston. The scoring on the back of the crank case from the bearing failure.
005 shows the same details
007&13 show's the grunge that was removed from the muffler This material was removed from the "prebaffeled" section and in all likelihood would have been recalculated through your nicely rebuilt motor.
009 Is a picture of a swab taken from the inside of the crankcase. The picture can not do justice to what the real amount of foreign debris there was.
Gentlemen Murphy's law states things will go wrong. But on returning the problem to a reputable dealer that's when things should NOT go wrong.
Repairing??? and then sending Goods in this condition back to your customers is purely unacceptable, I dread to think what may have happened if this motor had been started.
By now you should have guessed that I am one very unhappy customer and whish to know what you can do to rectify this matter, So far I am out the price of the motor, the return postage, and have a defective product to show for it all of which leaves a very bad taste in my mouth.
I look forward to hearing from you in the very near future.
